Perilous Legends Wiki

Shard Features

Overview

Perilous Legends is a unique Renaissance world with Classes, Regional Economies, a full Casino, Moba Events, Siege Warfare and much much more. Skim the sections below and click into whatever catches your eye.

Classes

Pick one of the classes - Pirate, Necromancer, Bard, Elementalist, Ranger, Gladiator, Biologist, Assassin, or Cutpurse - and it defines how you fight and earn. You get one character, so the choice matters. See Classes.

Ways to Play

Dungeon Delving & Monster Hunting

Descend into the dungeons and hunt the monsters that lair there. Clearing dungeons and running down big game is a core, ever-present way to earn your keep, gather crafting materials, and chase rare drops. See Dungeons and Monsters.

Defense of the Shards

A full MOBA mode built inside UO: lanes, creeps, towers, and heroes with items and abilities. You queue up, get a hero, and fight it out on a dedicated battleground. See Defense of the Shards.

Paintball

A fast, gear-based arena shooter with its own weapons and consumables - free-for-all, team modes, and capture-the-flag, complete with a battle-royale-style shrinking storm. See Paintball.

The Casino

A real casino floor with eight games of chance and a live poker room. See The Casino.

Hamlets & Siege

Guilds fight to control hamlets - territory with destructible walls and a reward for holding it, including an ethereal Garuda mount locked to the controlling guild. See Hamlets & Siege.

Arenas & Events

Duel other players at arena stones, or drop into the rotating PvP event queue for structured fights outside the open world. See Dueling Arena and PvP Events.

Make a Living

Trade Packs

The shard's caravan trade and its top honest earner. Craft a pack of a region's goods, carry it on your back - you can't teleport with it - and turn it in far away. Slow, visible, and worth real gold. See Trade Packs.

Sportfishing

Not idle fishing - hook a prize fish and you fight it through a reel-and-slack minigame, with tougher fish demanding tighter play. See Sportfishing.

Craft & Gear

Custom Crafting & Workstations

Place-anywhere profession stations let you craft in the field, plus custom enchanting and skinning systems layered on the classic skills. See Workstations and Enchanting & Skinning.

Gear Lifecycle

Gear wears out and eventually breaks - there is no repair. Instead you disenchant old gear for powder that can restore a piece's durability. See Disenchanting & Durability.

Storage Tomes & Vanity

Type-sorted storage tomes tame your bank, and the Vanity wardrobe recolors your hair, clothes, and even your spell effects. See Storage Tomes and Vanity & Cosmetics.

Get Around

Custom Mounts & Flight

Elemental steeds, exotic mounts, a rideable dolphin for the sea, and a Garuda flight mount that glides you over the map. See Mounts & Flight.

Ships & the Sea

Sail, upgrade your ship, weather real storms, and fight over the open water - which is entirely lawless. See Ships & Sea.

This is the short list. The full, grouped index of every system lives on the Systems page, and the ground rules that tie it all together are on Shard Rules.
