Bowcraft/Fletching
Bows, arrows, quivers, and a passive damage bonus for every archer.
Overview
Fletching is a craft and a combat stat. Every archer benefits from it whether or not they ever make a bow.
What It Does
- Passive: +1% damage per 5 points with any bow or crossbow, +20% at 100.
- Shafts and arrows from 0, bow 30 to 70, crossbow 60 to 100, heavy crossbow 80 to 120, composite bow 70 to 110.
- Woods: plain 0, oak 65, ash 75, yew 85, heartwood, bloodwood and frostwood 95, Perilwood 95.
- Exceptional bows hit more often the better the wood: +2% accuracy per grade above plain (oak +2%, ash +4%, yew +6%, heartwood +8%, bloodwood +10%, frostwood +12%, Perilwood +14%). Crafted exceptional pieces only.
- Ranger's Quiver (no skill): 20 leather and 5 boards; holds two ammo types.
- Ranger Arrows and Bolts (no skill): 500 ammo plus 1 Hunter's Mark; they only fire from a quiver.
- Fletching Slayer Stone (110): 500 Ether Charged Powder.
On Perilous Legends
- Every successful craft rolls for a Crafting Contract: about 1 in 1,000 for Apprentice (50 items), 1 in 2,500 Journeyman (100 items), 1 in 5,000 Grandmaster (250 items), each paying gold and class coins.
- Materials used count toward the Master Crafter leaderboard. Roughly 1 in 500 crafts drops a Guild Crest.
- There is no repair on Perilous Legends; worn gear is replaced or disenchanted. See Disenchanting & Durability.
- Sockets at 100 real skill (beta value). Fletching workstation for your house.
- The Fletcher Quartermaster sells Fletching power scrolls, the Fletcher's Cap (+10) and oak, yew and bloodwood runic fletching kits.
Classes That Use It
Artisan: every level gives +1% exceptional chance, saves 5% more materials on a failed craft and adds a small chance to double output. Fletching Mastery (level 6 fork) adds +5 effective Fletching per level.
Training It
Make shafts and arrows early, bows later. Bowyers teach it.
