Tailoring
Cloth and leather from plain to Perilhide, with sockets, runic kits and contracts.
Overview
Tailoring makes clothing and leather armor. Its top material, Perilhide, comes only from hamlet ranches.
What It Does
- Leather grades: plain 0, spined 65, horned 80, barbed 99, Perilhide 99.
- Perilhide is cut from ranch bulls in a hamlet (100 hides a day shared by everyone) and always rolls the best runic properties.
- Clothing bless deeds and dyes come from the Tailor Quartermaster; the Hue Applicator reads tailoring yardage for custom colours.
On Perilous Legends
- Every successful craft rolls for a Crafting Contract: about 1 in 1,000 for Apprentice (50 items), 1 in 2,500 Journeyman (100 items), 1 in 5,000 Grandmaster (250 items), each paying gold and class coins.
- Materials used count toward the Master Crafter leaderboard. Roughly 1 in 500 crafts drops a Guild Crest.
- There is no repair on Perilous Legends; worn gear is replaced or disenchanted. See Disenchanting & Durability.
- Tailoring contracts require exceptional pieces. At 100 real skill (beta value) 10% of crafted armor has a gem socket.
- The Tailor Quartermaster sells Tailoring power scrolls, Clothing Bless Deeds and spined, horned and barbed runic sewing kits (15 charges).
- Tailor workstation for your house.
Classes That Use It
Artisan: every level gives +1% exceptional chance, saves 5% more materials on a failed craft and adds a small chance to double output. Tailor Mastery (level 2 fork, instead of Blacksmith) adds +5 effective Tailoring per level.
Training It
