Stealing
Take it from their pack, or from a monster's. The Cutpurse's signature skill.
Overview
Stealing lifts items from players and monsters. Stealing from players needs Thieves Guild membership.
What It Does
- Join the Thieves Guild at 60 Stealing with no murder counts to steal from players. Both hands must be empty.
- Cannot take equipped, blessed or newbied items, anything over 10 stones, or from corpses and shopkeepers. Heavier items are harder; stacks come in pieces.
- Getting caught by an innocent makes you criminal and everyone nearby is told. Any theft from an innocent leaves you grey to them.
- Stealing from a monster picks a random item from its pack.
On Perilous Legends
- Successful thefts from non-friendly players go on their Rap Sheet.
- Blocked in the Casino, the Auction House, the Dueling Arena and the pacified weekly bonus dungeon.
Classes That Use It
Cutpurse: Gaffle (2% per level, once per monster: 20% of its gold now, less on death), Smuggle (once per monster: drops Illicit Goods), Light Fingers (50% double), and Thug Life (level 14 fork) which makes Stealing count as Tactics beyond the cap.
Training It
Steal from monsters. Thieves teach it.
