Enchanting
Burn skinned materials and a catalyst into a weapon, armor, jewelry or pet gear at an enchanting table.
Overview
Enchanting is one of the shard's own skills. Materials come from Skinning, recipes drop from monsters, and the enchanting table does the rest. The full system, recipes and effects are on the Enchanting & Skinning page.
What It Does
- Using the skill button just reminds you to find a table. Stand at a Minor or Major Enchanting Table with at least 1 skill to open it.
- Pick a quality (1 to 4; 4 only at a Major table), pick a recipe you know, put the item in the slot. The table reads the materials and catalyst from your pack.
- Skill windows: Q1 0-55, Q2 30-80, Q3 60-100, Q4 85-120. Above the top of a window the roll is automatic.
- Success burns 3 of each of the recipe's three materials plus the catalyst. Failure burns 1 of each plus the catalyst.
- An item can carry one of each enchantment type; slot counts by item class are on the Enchanting page. Procs work against monsters only.
On Perilous Legends
- 104 recipes (26 enchantments x 4 qualities) drop as rare loot by creature fame; learn them by double-clicking.
- The Recipe Tome, the Enchanting Material Tome and the Minor table deed are sold by the Perilous Vendor.
- Successful enchants feed the Enchanter leaderboard and roll for Enchanting Crafting Contracts.
Classes That Use It
Artisan: Enchanting Mastery (level 10 fork) adds +5 effective Enchanting per Artisan level.
Training It
Every attempt at a table is a skill check, so cheap Q1 recipes are how you climb. The Enchanter NPC trains it to 40. Champion power scrolls take it to 120, which is where the Q4 window tops out.
