Play well or every bard skill fails. 120 opens Concert Mode.

Overview

Every Peacemaking, Provocation and Discordance attempt starts with a Musicianship roll. Above 100 it also makes those skills easier.

What It Does

• Chance to play cleanly is your skill in percent. A bad play wastes the attempt and an instrument use.
• Every point over 100 lowers barding difficulty by 0.5.
• Bard range is 8 tiles plus skill / 15.

On Perilous Legends

• Concert Mode requires 120 Musicianship; on a successful bard skill it triggers 5% per barding skill you hold at 100 or more. Bardic explosions scale with Musicianship and Bard level.
• Bosses can be barded: chance 20% x average of Musicianship/120 and bard skill/120, +2% per instrument wood grade.
• The Bardic Lute (Carpentry) has 1,000 charges and makes barding easier.

Classes That Use It

Bard: Perfect Pitch adds +2 Musicianship per level.

Training It

Play an instrument. Bards teach it; champion power scrolls take it to 120.
