Pet Equipment
Armor for your pet. Twenty pieces across five sets and four slots - Perilite-forged, enchantable, and every bit as breakable as your own gear.
Overview
Pet equipment is a full armor system for your pets. There are twenty pieces - five themed sets, each covering four slots - and they turn a raw combat pet into a specialized one: a tank, a striker, a caster, a sprinter, or a bruiser that refuses to die. Every piece is Perilite-forged, holds an enchantment, and, like all gear on the shard, eventually breaks.
It pairs directly with Taming & Pets: how much of a set a pet can wear depends on its tier, so the strongest pets are the ones worth outfitting.
Slots & Tier Gating
The four equipment slots are Head, Chest, Feet, and Arms. How many a pet can fill is set by its tier, which comes from its control-slot cost - big, expensive pets wear more:
| Pet tier | Control slots | Equipment it can wear |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 5 | All 4 pieces |
| Tier 2 | 4 | 3 pieces |
| Tier 3 | 3 | 2 pieces |
| Tier 4 | 2 | 1 piece |
| Tier 5 | 1 | None |
Only a full five-slot Tier 1 pet gets the complete four-piece set - and therefore the set bonus. A one-slot Tier 5 critter cannot be geared at all. See Taming & Pets for how tiers work.
The Five Sets
Each set builds a pet toward one role. Mixing pieces across sets is legal, but you only earn a set bonus by wearing all four pieces of one set on a Tier 1 pet. Each set is dyed its own color, so you can read a geared pet's build at a glance.
| Set | Role | Leans into |
|---|---|---|
| Aegis | Tank | Armor, hit points, resisting spells |
| Ravager | Melee damage | Strength, damage, swing speed, tactics |
| Windrunner | Speed | Dexterity, movement and swing speed, wrestling |
| Stormcaller | Caster | Intelligence, magery, meditation, spell damage |
| Stonescale | Sustain | Hit points, HP regeneration, life steal |
Each of the twenty pieces (for example the Aegis Carapace chest or the Ravager Sabatons boots) carries its own small bundle of stats and skills toward its set's role.
Set Bonuses
The reward for a complete four-piece set is a combat proc: while your pet fights, each melee hit has a 3% chance to trigger a 30-second buff themed to the set. The pet glows while it is active.
| Set | Proc effect |
|---|---|
| Aegis | +100 Armor and +100 Magic Resist |
| Ravager | +50% damage |
| Windrunner | +50% attack speed |
| Stormcaller | +100% spell damage |
| Stonescale | +100% life leech on melee |
The proc rolls off the pet's own attacks, so the more a geared pet is swinging, the more often its set bonus lights up.
Making the Gear
Pet equipment is blacksmith-forged from Perilite, the shard's top metal - it takes 110 Blacksmithy and a stack of Perilite ingots per piece (chest pieces cost the most). The recipes are not learned from a trainer; each one drops as a rare recipe scroll you consume to learn that single item permanently. If you would rather buy than craft, a Pet Armorer vendor sells finished pieces for gold.
Exact recipes, prices, and skill requirements are set in-game and still being balanced ahead of launch. This page describes how the gear behaves; confirm the current craft costs and vendor prices in-world.
Pet-Gear Enchantments
Pet gear plugs into the same Enchanting system your own gear uses, with a set of twelve pet-specific enchantments. Each piece holds one enchantment, and each enchant is locked to a slot - damage and life-leech enchants go on Arms, spell and mana enchants on the Head, armor and health on the Chest, speed and stamina on the Feet:
| Slot | Enchantments |
|---|---|
| Arms | Keen Claws (damage), Brawn (strength), Leech (life steal) |
| Head | Innate Magic (spell damage), Mindful (mana), Refreshment (mana regen) |
| Chest | Razorscale (armor), Robust (health), Fortitude (health regen) |
| Feet | Alacrity (swing speed), Celerity (dexterity), Steadfast (stamina regen) |
Each enchant scales across four qualities (Q1-Q4), so a Q4 Brawn is +40 Strength where a Q1 is +10.
Enchant the piece while it is in your pack, at an Enchanting Station. Gear that is already worn is out of the enchanter's reach, so add the enchantment before you equip it.
Durability & Removal
Pet gear lives under the same one-way lifecycle as everything else - see Disenchanting & Durability. Each piece starts from a large pool (500 durability), but it wears down: every time the pet is struck in melee there is a 25% chance to knock a point off a random worn piece, just like your own armor. There is no repair, and a piece is destroyed when it hits zero.
Two more rules to keep in mind:
- It does not drop on death. Pet gear is blessed - a pet dying does not scatter its equipment.
- Removing an equipped piece breaks it. Taking a piece off destroys it permanently - the gump warns you first - so treat every equip as a commitment, not a loadout you swap around freely.
The Pet Gump
Everything is managed from the pet gump: a panel showing the four equipment squares, your pet's current
stats (updated live to reflect the gear it is wearing), and the set-bonus indicator. Higher-tier pets show
more open squares; lower-tier pets show fewer. Equip a piece by double-clicking it and targeting your pet, and
the gump opens so you can see exactly what changed. You can reopen it any time with [petgump.
Tips
- Gear your best pet, not every pet. Only a Tier 1 pet gets all four slots and the set bonus.
- Enchant pieces before you equip them - worn gear is out of the enchanter's reach.
- Never remove a piece to reshuffle it. Removal destroys it, so plan the loadout before you equip.
- Match the set to the pet's job: Aegis on a frontline tank, Stormcaller on a caster, Ravager on a striker.
- Pet gear breaks for good, so keep your Perilite supply and recipes stocked to replace pieces as they wear out - see Taming & Pets for the pets that earn the gear.
