Razor Assistant

Perilous Legends ships its own build of Razor, bundled with the client. Here is what it does, what has been changed, and what you actually need to know.

Overview

Razor is the classic Ultima Online assistant - hotkeys, macros, organizers, and the quality of life you expect on top of the client. Perilous Legends runs its own build of it, so you get the useful parts without the parts that would let people cheat.

It Comes Bundled

You do not download or install Razor separately. The shard's build is packaged with the client and attaches on its own every time you launch. You do not point it at the server or configure a profile to get started - it is just there when the game opens. If you have used Razor before, it will feel familiar; the Perilous Legends version is branded "Perilous Razor."

What's Different Here

The shard's build is deliberately trimmed so it can't be used to automate play or gain an unfair edge:

Do not try to swap in your own Razor. Because features are negotiated with the server, a stock or modified Razor won't unlock anything the shard disallows - the server has the final say. Just use the one that ships with the client.

What You Can Use It For

Plenty is still yours to use: hotkeys, movement and combat macros, organizer and hotbar features, and binding the shard's bracket commands to keys. That last one matters - commands like [Shoot in paintball or the sportfishing reel actions are far easier on a hotkey than typed into chat mid-action.

If Razor Won't Open

Razor attaches automatically, so if the window never appears it usually means the client did not finish updating cleanly. Fully close the game and relaunch through the launcher so it can re-patch. Do not go hunting through the client folder to fix it by hand - the installer is meant to heal the install on the next run. If it still won't attach after a clean relaunch, report it in Discord.
