Class Coins

A reward currency with one coin per class - dropped by the monsters you kill, scaling with how tough they are.

Overview

Class Coins are a reward currency you collect by fighting. They are not gold and they are not anything you buy with gold - they are their own thing, one of the reward currencies each system on the shard uses to hand out its own rewards.

What makes them distinct is that there is a coin for every class. Each class has its own coin, named and coloured to match, plus a universal coin called the Prism Coin. You bank them up and spend them on class rewards.

A Coin for Every Class

There is a Class Coin for every class:

Every coin shares the same shape but wears its class's guild colour, so a stack is easy to read at a glance. See Classes for what each path plays like.

How You Earn Them

Class Coins drop from monsters when they die. This is a separate roll from the gold and gear on the corpse - the coin arrives on its own track, so a good kill can pay you gold, loot, and a coin. The catch is that the drop chance is tied to how dangerous the monster was: weak creatures rarely cough one up, while the big, high-health monsters drop them reliably.

That means the way to farm coins is the same as the way to farm good loot - fight up the difficulty ladder. The tougher the target, the better the odds.

Drop Tiers

Like the rest of the loot system, coin chance is driven by a monster's maximum hit points, sorted into named tiers. The more health a creature has, the higher its tier and the better your coin odds - at the top tiers a coin is close to guaranteed.

Difficulty tiers by monster max HP
TierMax HPCoin odds
Poor1-49Very low
Meager50-199Low
Average200-599Moderate
Rich600-1,999Good
Filthy Rich2,000-4,999High
Ultra Rich5,000-14,999Near-certain
Super Boss15,000+Certain

Exact per-tier percentages and what each coin buys are set in-game and are the numbers to confirm at a live vendor - this page describes how coins drop and scale, not a fixed rate card.

The Prism Coin

Alongside the class coins there is the Prism Coin, a universal coin that isn't tied to any single class. Treat it as the rarer, cross-class variant that sits at the top of your coin collection.

Storing Coins

Coins stack, and there is a dedicated Class Coin Tome that holds the full set - all the class coins plus the Prism Coin - in one tidy book so they aren't cluttering your pack. If you are collecting seriously, the tome is the clean way to keep them.
